FIRST-RIDE CHECKLIST

Make your first ride a good one.

A calm start gives you space to learn the bike and enjoy the route.

Before the bike arrives

Find the current manual for the exact model and version. Understand what assembly and setup are required and who will perform them. If you are unsure about assembly, brake adjustment, or the condition of any component, arrange qualified help before riding.

Set up for your body

Use the model instructions for seat and control adjustments. Check that you can reach and operate the brakes, mount and dismount, and stop comfortably. Wear appropriate protective equipment and choose clothing and carried items that will stay clear of moving parts.

Learn the controls first

Identify the power control, assistance settings, brakes, gears, and any throttle fitted to your version. Practice in a suitable traffic-free area where riding is permitted. Start with the settings recommended in the manual and get comfortable with starting, slowing, stopping, and turning.

Choose a small first loop

Keep the route familiar, permitted, and easy to shorten. Avoid making your first outing a test of the bike’s maximum distance or your own limits. Take time to understand how it feels on the surfaces and gentle changes of gradient you normally encounter.

Check in after the ride

Note anything that needs clarification: fit, controls, unusual noises, or unexpected behavior. Stop using the bike if it appears damaged or unsafe, and seek appropriate assistance. Follow the manual’s maintenance schedule and checks after initial use.
