RV & CAMPSITE RIDING

A new route from every stop.

Plan the transport carefully, then enjoy discovering what is nearby.

Begin with the transport system

List the complete bike weight, wheel and tire dimensions, frame shape, and the number of bikes you will carry. Check the rack’s per-bike and total ratings, vehicle and hitch requirements, and explicit approval for your type of RV. Confirm compatibility with the equipment manufacturers; a standard car-rack rating is not enough to establish RV suitability.

Measure storage and loading space

Check the real dimensions of your storage bay or loading area, including the opening and the space needed to maneuver. Consider lifting height and your ability to secure the bike. Folding dimensions only help if the actual shape fits and you can safely handle the bike throughout the process.

Plan battery handling and charging

Follow the bike, battery, charger, vehicle, and campsite instructions for transport, storage, and charging. Confirm that your planned power arrangement is suitable. Do not assume that a campsite outlet, vehicle inverter, or charger from another device is compatible with your equipment.

Check the local riding plan

Before arriving, look for permitted cycling routes with suitable surfaces and a practical return distance. Campsites and nearby paths may have their own access rules. Keep the first ride close to camp while you learn the area, and allow for weather or route changes.

Run a departure checklist

Inspect and secure the bike according to the equipment instructions. Check lights, plates, clearances, and other relevant vehicle requirements. At stops, check the load again as directed by the rack manufacturer. After unloading, complete the bike’s normal pre-ride checks before heading out.

Ask the right question before buying

Send the model you are considering, storage dimensions, loading method, and exact rack and vehicle details. We can clarify bike dimensions and published specifications. Final approval for rack and vehicle compatibility must come from the relevant equipment manufacturers.
